Microsoft Access is a database management system (DBMS) from Microsoft that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. It is a member of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, included in the Professional and higher editions or sold separately.
Joanna mentioned, "Access crashes often. It is a very touchy program and can be difficult to operate with when you need it constantly and it does not always work."

Direct Care Worker (Current Employee) says"In the year plus I worked at Community Access Inc I have had my life threatened, been the victim of advances by consumers of the agency, and witnessed employee assaults by consumers. The management of this organization takes almost not precautions to protect their employees. They underpay, overwork, and disrespect employee concerns on a regular basis. Enter COVID-19 when the organization failed to provide PPE to employees for over a month. Employees had to fight for the ability to work remotely (which they were only granted a few days per week). At the time that direct service staff were forced to risk their lives and work from the sites, upper management was able to safely work from home. Upper management actually increased the work loads of support staff at least by ten times the responsibilities. Support staff at various sites were pitted against each other to keep morale down and to ensure that despite support staff risking their health and their lives, they feared for their jobs. Human Resources is atrocious they take no action on formal complaints filed and ignore issues raised to them. To add insult to injury the organization began "morale boosting" activities that no one working in direct service had the time or ability to participate in. The organization prides itself on hiring individuals with lived experience in the mental health and substance use world, however the work environments and lack of care for employee work life balance and safety lend themselves to contributing to employee breakdowns. It's rare to find anyone who lasts longer than a year with the company. Cons: Pay, benefits, management, human resources, safety, protection, job security, racial discrimination"

Caregiver (Former Employee) says"The company has made many changes. Poor communication to staff. Money on checks incorrect. Usually 1 staff member to 13 people, some clients with severe mental disabilities. New guidelines never explained thoroughly or negative consequences to clients and their families as well as the staff. The corporate office showed little or no concern to help when short handed."

RN (Former Employee) says"Community Access is the worst company in DFW area. No training or assistance for anyone in the corporate office. This company does not support their nurses or direct care staff. A lot of good workers had to leave due to the working conditions. Their homes are rundown and not properly functioning. Community Access does not provide any quality supplies in their homes such as thermonitors. The homes are unsanitary. Clients are wearing dirty clothes and clothes that doesn’t fit. I brought issues to the ED/VP attention regarding the working conditions in the office such as no working phone in the or fax for the Nurse to use and other issues. I was terminated immediately for bringing issues to be resolved. This position was posted today while I was still at work. The ED had terminated on a conference call on Speaker in front of all the staff. I had planned a vacation next week for medical issues and PTO has been forfeited as of now. I would advise anyone to not consider this company because it’s very unprofessional and unorganized. Cons: No working fax or phones"
Program Director (Former Employee) says"Agency does not focus on real life practices as it relates to philosophy and accountability. Program Participants are at risk for failure due to loose connection with reality. Staff are forced to work in hostile, unhygienic environments while management expects you to support their decisions. Participants are actively using illicit substances meanwhile the Harm Reduction approach has been modified to support them in their downward spiral. Staff are not compensated fairly and there is a large disconnect with Management and their expectations. Meetings are endless and nothing gets done. Cons: Managment & HR"

Building Maintenance (Former Employee) says"Don't get me wrong...it's a job. However, management has no concerns about it's employees. No appreciation for above and beyond duties. Alot of gossip from management to all locations. In order to get a decent paycheck you have to work crazy hours, at 2 to 3 different building locations in a day. Trust me I know. Cons: Short lunch, long hours, no advancement."

They will make it look like your not a good worker and try and get charges out on you. Cons: Company doesn't value employees they are dispensable"

My task supervisor repeatedly harassed me, and my official supervisor, when I informed him of the harassment, told me it was my fault. No one wanted to be working there because the staff were all treated horrendously and nobody's concerns were taken seriously. They talk a good game, with their mission statements and "person-centered care" and "harm reduction," but have no idea how to actually implement those ideas."
Blanca says"My vehicle was struck while parked in a parking lot on 10-9-17. The person who hit my car was responsible enough to leave his information with the parking attendant. I filed a claim with this company the same day. It's is now 10-26-17 and I haven't heard anything from them. My adjuster Sandra Contreras hasn't returned any of my 4 messages that I've left. I'm left careless because my vehicle has a dent to the right passenger door that makes a loud cracking noise when trying to open it, the front wheel has a loud clicking noise and feels unsafe to drive. It's not severe, but enough to leave with a safety concern. I've dealt with an insurance company before in the past and things were pretty smooth and speedy; within days I had my car on its way for repair. This company hasn't even sent out a letter to my house, let alone returned a call. I am very upset with this service. I expected something smooth, if not speedy since its not involving any hurt bodies or something bigger. I am just having a horrible experience with them thus far. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, nevertheless refer anyone to them."
